The Ascension of Christ

14th century (est.)
Stained Glass
Cathedral of St. Stephen, Vienna, Austria

This is the type of Ascension in which one sees only the bare feet of the rising body of Christ. In other types Mary is usually in the center of the lower register, but in this type it is usual to place her to the left.

I have not found any references to the date of this window and can only estimate. Tbe 14th was this cathedral's first full century of existence.
